The President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government has ordered continuous salary deductions from federal workers to recover "excess payments" made in December 2024, blaming the situation on a system error.
If it was as a result of excess payment then i have no issue with the order. I was surprised when i saw the headline so i have to make my own research to find out that the information is not on any well known reporters website like Vanguard and the rest. no be every time we go de attack the decision of our leaders. if them make decision when we know say e no enter well, nothing spoil make we put am for their body but when they make decision when no de all that bad, make we de truthful to ourselves accept say them de really in their own little way. the argument on the need for an increase in the salary of civil servant na a totally different one and that one no still warrant the government to spend above their budget. if them no pay workers for a single month, workers go complain even enter street go do protest, now when them don pay them excess, the government has every right to decide what to do about it whether it is to reverse the payment or deduct it from their next month pay.
