I don't think there is a way in which the other strategies can be done in the wrong way, the reason why DCA strategies is prefer by many investors morespecially newbies is that it offers the opportunity of not putting in all your discretionary income at once,it offers investors the opportunity to split their investments into weekly , monthly or daily intervals. It also act as a great hedge over bitcoin volatility since investors are accumulating bitcoin at different prices . The act of waiting for a desire dips is not always a good idea since an investor can be doing DCA while still setting apart some part of his discretionary income for buying the dips. An investor is not limited to any one of the strategies ,so is not because of loss that newbies are advised to start with DCA strategies but because of the opportunities the strategy offers.we can only talk of loss when the newbie is fucking around with trading and not in bitcoin investment for long term.
