Absolutely yes, this is the worst season for Manchester city for some years now and it has make them look like trash and it is really a shameful thing to Pep Guardiola because the change in performance for Manchester city is really crazy and up till now I don't know what the course is because I know almost the players are present now apart from Rodri who happens to be a great midfielder. is not longer about having more possessions I think Manchester city has lost the mentality and ability to score because there is no way Manchester city of last season will play you, no matter how solid your defense is that they will not penetrate and score but this season is different.
Isn't it a slight exaggeration to call a bad season a shameful thing when we are talking about Pep Guardiola, one of the best coaches of all times? Is a bad year in our life or a bad exam among many good exams a shameful thing?
What I agree with is that looking for the causes is much harder than one would think because everyone tries to come up with an explanation and even Pep Guardiola can't come up with one. It sometimes seems as if the other teams cracked the Manchester City code this season. It sounds weird, but that's what I think. They let Manchester City play whatever they want on the first two thirds of the pitch and then the teams understand very well how to defend against these sophisticated quick passing attacks. It doesn't work anymore for some unknown reason and now Manchester City has problems finding other ways despite having a striker like Haaland.
I wonder Why many people believe that Manchester City will continue to be in their great form forever. Those guys have dominated the English Premier League for so long and they have been in their best performance winning the league with 100 points is something that might not be achieved any years soon. So it is natural that they will have to drop their tempo and pick up again. Anything that goes up must surely come down.
We should stop looking for what made Manchester City to drop from this season. It is obvious that it started when KDB and rodri left the midfield at the same time. Before they could come back the team had already lost their chemistry. So it's will take some good time for the chemistry to be back and that will be with the return of rodri and do not forget that Pep also faced divorce issues and lost his mansion in Manchester.
