Sure. Liverpool are leading the standings currently, and as you said, Arsenal are second in the table, although I don’t think Arsenal will make any mistake that will make them drop points and leave that position to Nottingham Forest right now. I think they would rather do more and see if they can be able to near Liverpool in points, but I don’t think they can surpass and get the first place in the table currently; it will be hard for Arteta to get it.
It is no longer possible for other clubs to take over Liverpool's position in the first ranking if we look at it logically. (unless something very big happens and it is beyond our control).
15 points gap
10 matches remaining
So, it is impossible for Liverpool to lose 5 matches or more than half of them in the future. It seems impossible.
Although, Liverpool's condition is currently slumping because they failed to qualify for the next round in the UEFA Champions League. [even though they are at the top of the UCL standings, they had to be eliminated by PSG who won the penalty shootouts.
Source: Liverpool exit the Champions League on penaltiesFinal night of Liverpool nightmare in the knockout stages was a loss to PSG on a penalty kick. Liverpool disappointing defeat at Anfield saw them eliminated from the Premier League despite having been in great form at the start of the season. Despite a poor first leg performance, they have won the match.
But despite playing the full 120 minutes of the match, they lost the penalty shootout in the second leg. I personally predicted after first leg that Liverpool would lose the second leg and my prediction was 100% correct. PSG played brilliantly, they were impressive in every form both defensively and offensively.
So for the best team, losing and winning can be a matter of luck. Although it seemed unbelievable to me, there was a visible stage where the margin of defeat was high.
