Liverpool are leading the standings currently, and as you said, Arsenal are second in the table, although I don’t think Arsenal will make any mistake that will make them drop points and leave that position to Nottingham Forest right now. I think they would rather do more and see if they can be able to near Liverpool in points, but I don’t think they can surpass and get the first place in the table currently; it will be hard for Arteta to get it.

Lastly, another thing that makes me believe that the league title at this stage is their's to lose is because of the present form of arsenal that is their closest Challenger, even if they erase the point from both teams to compete on a clean slate in this remaining ten games, their is a higher probability that Liverpool will still achieve more points than arsenal because even though they have been knockout of the uefa champions league, they are still way better and stronger than arsenal their closest rival for the title.
