My parents never gambled and I don't think that the subject ever came up, maybe they did before I was born but I wouldn't know. I don't think that anybody ever gave me advice when I was a young boy about gambling, everything I know I had to learn from my experience and from gamblers. The first time I gambled I was quite young then, I wanted to win a ball in 'scratch and win' cards, I lost all my money and I never won the ball. I cried and never gambled again till I became an adult, that experience made me never to take gambling too seriously and I never use substantial amounts to gamble.
It all depends on our respective parents, but in my opinion none of our parents encourage us to gamble because gambling will make us poor, the benefits given from gambling do not make us rich forever, everything we earn from gambling may be temporarily enjoyable but not in the long term.
Because parents want their children to have good and permanent jobs so they can provide a better life, gambling will make all our finances run out and disappear, if we are too passionate about gambling it will make our finances unstable, but gamble by seeking pleasure not for the intention of seeking wealth, don't be too ambitious in gambling, stick to games with our own abilities.
