I think the challenge here is not that we have parents that gambled but we have parents that did not gamble and did not take out time to educate their children on the dangers of gambling, so they kept quiet about it and their children went on to learn from society and now have become addicted gamblers. This is why we have underage and even people of age who are gamblers, but their parents never gambled.  The society's influence on gambling is now stronger than before because gambling advertisements can be seen everywhere online and offline and is even a popular discussion among youths. As a parent it would be a very grave error to ignore educating your children on gambling knowing that if they must gamble, they should become responsible gamblers and not a problem to society.
