I don't know how stupid this may sound, but why do we say dollar cost averaging, DCA, instead of Satoshi cost averaging, SCA or Bitcoin cost averaging, BCA?
Why DCA, instead of BCA?
This is owing to the fact that we could associate any legal currency with cost averaging as a strategy of investment for either short or long term durations.
DCA is a leftover term used in stock trades and other commodity trades. When you're doing DCA on BTC, you're actually indeed doing BCA or SCA, depending on the amount you're spending.
But like i said, it's from the olden days used in stocks and commodities
Exactly, and make more sense on your narrative since we can not just let go of the old interpretation while it function remains the same without addictions or subtractions, that is to say generally when it comes to Bitcoin DCA can as well be referred to BCA or SCA. However, making such differentiation will also make sense considering the fact that the dca are also used in other investments at least for more specification and personalization.
