I think PSG deserved the win, but that doesn’t mean Liverpool didn’t deserve it either. Now, the big question is: what will happen with Salah’s Ballon d’Or chances? They’ve clearly taken a hit.
Ordinarily, one would think that for Liverpool to have gotten the first leg advantage with that win, which wasn’t by much margin, just a single goal, you would expect them to hold it and at least get a draw at the Anfield but no, PSG wasn’t going to let that first leg slide. PSG was the better team in the first leg which they are well aware off and there wasn’t much surprises they would expect from the Liverpool side even in the second leg. They were intentional, got the aggregate and settled with penalties to advance.
