If you are talking about trading and gambling, it’s almost the same, but not as we all think about it, because in gambling, many people tend to predict the game based on their previous experiences, while in trading, you have to undergo a lot of study. I am not a gambler and at the same time am not a trader, but I am studying to become a trader, knowing that gambling is addictive whereas trading is not, but both the risk have involved,
Trading and gambling often seem to be the same but there are many differences. The only similarity is risk, and everything is different. Gambling is generally said to be based on luck, while trading is based on skill, experience and good analysis. If a trader can correctly implement his trading strategy and manage his money well, he can be profitable from trading, but in the case of gambling, even if he has a strategy or good analysis, there is no chance of winning. Moreover, if a trader holds an asset for a long time, he can profit from that asset in the future, but a gambler has to either win or lose in a short period of time. A trader can withdraw his investment at any time if he wants, but in the case of gambling, it is very difficult. Furthermore, a trader can keep trading until he makes profit, but a gambler does not have that opportunity.
Another big difference is that a trader has to spend time learning how to trade, while gambling doesn't require much learning. Particularly in the case of casino gambling, you only need to know the rules of gambling.
