Pep's private life aside, they fumbled with decision making especially with the players they let go and the players they let stay. Ahead of tue season,  players like Kevin De Bruyne,  Kovacic,  Bernado Silva and Ilkay Gundugan shouldn't have stayed further. I was excited for Gundugan return but there's no way they could keep up with the pace of the premier league competition. Erling Haaland also fumbled as he struggled with converting chances, the exit of Julian Alvarez affected em as he would have brought a lot for them in goal with Erling flopping. All of these affected them.
That is just the same thing I have been thinking also, they are very terrible at deciding on which players to let go and which players to keep. Some few players have left and have become a very important player for their current team and it is almost as if they threw away a gem. Look at Cole Palmer and Alvarez, they are shining in their respective teams now and it looks like Guardiola and his team are terrible at their decision making and they fail to see players that have potentials. It seems they are more focused about players that are useful at the moment and overlook future.

It’s true players like De Bruyne, Gundogan and Bernardo Silva have little to offer the team now as they are getting old and they should have considered keeping Alvarez and Palmer. We all knew what these players are capable of but Pep Guardiola still went on and let them leave.
