If Trump's plan was to have European countries step up their purchases of weapons and military equipment from the US, then it can be said that this plan failed miserably.
I guess you missed the recent report by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute

The amount of arms Europeans buy from US went up by 155% in the past couple of years and it is only increasing as the Europeans don't have the infrastructure or the technology nor does US regime allows them to cut that dependence and acquire that technology.

After Trump and his team began to threaten their allies with economic sanctions and even war, Europe realized that the US is an unreliable partner and therefore it is dangerous to use American military equipment.
Ahhh what I've been saying for years and "certain users" attacked me for it is not becoming a well known fact!
