Not only in the team New Zealand made changes in their squad as compared to the last ICC event, Pakistan also gave a chance to their new players, which is quite a good decision.
In the same last trophies, their performance is slowly collapsing and I think the worst time is here. So, giving a chance to new players and bringing new talent up from domestic can be a good sign for the team and may this idea bring light to the Pakistan team. However, what management and others do, I am pretty sure in the next 10 years no ICC trophy is likely to be played in Pakistan again.
I agree with you that new players may be the ones who can change the Pakistan team. If Pakistan cricket team can develop their game with young players then Pakistan cricket team has a chance to be at the top of popularity again. Actually, it is wise to give importance to young players to do something good in cricket.
I am not agreed with this because things are not going positive in Pakistan cricket in last few years while things are taking too many changes and players are also not confident about their future with big cuts in salaries and other things which are hurting cricket in Pakistan badly. Nonprofessional peoples are controlling which are also not capable of managing things on merit and their domestic setup is also having too many changes which are also hurting them badly next few years are going to be terrible for Pakistani cricket if they fail to bring any solid strategy and domestic setup for improvement.
PSL is good platform but due to their non-professional tactics it's also losing its charisma which is another problem they needed to sit out with former players and use their experience about improvement instead of fighting on social media and having more mockery of cricket in this country.
Pakistan cricket has been going through a hard time for long. Nothing is being seen to improve cricket in the country as much as it needed to, rather people's trust in Pakistan cricket is gradually being lost. In this situation, if they want to do well, they will have to improve domestic cricket first. If domestic cricket does not improve, then the chances of getting good cricketers in the national team will decrease.
Again, if the players are not get the financial support according to their needs or the current situation, then they will not be satisfied, rather their cricket situation may worsen due to this inconsistency. Pakistan hosted the Champions Trophy but the country could not play the final. They are also losing the support of the common people. If they do not remove the incompetent people and replace them with competent ones, then the situation of the country's cricket may worsen in the next few years.
