Yup, Liverpool looked horrible in the 1st leg, but they were lucky to grab a win. I don't know what happened there, but their poor performance should've rung alarm bells for Arne Slot. They did improve in the rematch but it still wasn't good enough.
It's a shame because they did really well in the league stage of the UCL (and are on the way of winning the Premier League). Many people, myself included, considered them to be the strongest team and a favourite to win the UCL.
Liverpool lost just one game in the group stage of the UCL and we're clear favourites to win the trophy. One of my friends said tot would have been better for them to even lose three games in the group stage than to be knocked out at this stage. It reminds me of our national team that didn't lose any game in the African Cup of Nations, only to lose in the finals. It was a big disappointment for Arne Slot and his boys. But they can still win two competitions this season.
