So he ended his life just for $0.3 worth of bet? That is pathetic.
People have been risking their lives and health even for a less money or items. I think everyone risked during childhood by getting ball back that fell into neighbors yard where angry dog lives. I think in current situation, that $0.3 bet was made most as a joke, but drowned guy wanted to prove something to others. Those $0.3 were a stimulation for him to make a tiny step forward and accept challenge.
You are right, I think it is time parents educate their children better on risks like this and show them some painful examples. That lad has cost his parent(s) irreparable loss, which is unfair. I am proud of my childhood, but to buttress your point, I can remember that I had friends, even my senior brother and sister taking insane risks then while I watched. Thank God it didn't result in forever painful memories. This is a lesson to all of us, horseplay and dangerous betting should be out of the way.
We do have our own will on which even if our parents dont mind us or able to tell us on whats good or bad but with having that common sense and own will, be surely be able to tell us whether these things will really be giving out that kind of negative or positive results. Its not really that people do make out some choices it is really just that they dont think up into the things that might possibly happen ahead and plus having some mixed up with some confidence and trust into your ability then you will really be that trying out to prove it on other peoples faces that they can do it on which we can tell that its really that being mixed up with ego.
