Finally, Newcastle are the champions of the EFL cup 2025. After 70 years, these sets of Newcastle finally brought the trophy home, what a time to be alive as a Newcastle fan, congratulations to them. What a sad week for Liverpool, got knocked out of the Champions League few days ago and today they lost the EFL finals to Newcastle. Liverpool conceded a goal again after the break to further put Newcastle ahead in the tie.
Seriously this Newcastle team actually deserves the trophy if we recall the teams they had to win before getting here. The likes of Manchester United and Arsenal if I am not mistaken. This group of Newcastle have been a big revolution to the club that had been battling relegation few years ago. This is like a great gift to the new Newcastle board and owners who have spent heavily on the team since the Arabs got it. Last two years they came short when Manchester United defeated them and it was sad now they are now champions. Congratulations to them.
As for Liverpool I just don’t understand they are lucky the point in the league is a good one if not this form will definitely affect them too in the league seriously. Seems Arne Slot is running out of ideas at this critical stage of time which is bad
