Last week and this weekend is a treble week for Liverpool football club, beacuse they just crashed out of the champions league competition over the week by losing in a penalty shootout against the German club PSG and today again they've lost the EFL trophy to Newcastle United. does this signal Liverpool a decline in their form, because I wasn't really expecting Newcastle to defeat Liverpool on a normal 90 minutes game without them going into penalty shootout. Big accolades to Newcastle United for this achievement.
It’s obvious that Liverpool performance has dropped a little bit, I was surprise to see Liverpool today, because I never expected that, I was thinking since they have been able to get to the final, then Liverpool will be winning the cup. When Newcastle scored their first goal, I was still thinking Liverpool will equalize, but immediately Newcastle scored their second goal, then I gave up, I knew there was nothing left for Liverpool because Newcastle will play defense game, they will do everything possible to win the match.
Liverpool are out of the champions league, and failed to win the carabao cup, the only trophy left is the premier league, the season is already about to end, and they are leading with a wide point margin, so their mind with be at rest right now, at least they will be winning the premier league title.
