I think it’s a good thing an extra spot has been handed to the EPL to participate in the champions league next season.
England will probably earn the extra champions league berth and it's even possible that more than 5 english teams participate in the next season of champions league.
If Manchester United or Tottenham win the Europa league this season, they will also qualify for the champions league.
