Have anyone actually tested this?
Because increasing the Gap Limit to that amount would make Electrum unresponsive which is the very reason the OP was posted.
(at least in my multiple attempts)

Don't know if it's OP's machine but mine should have enough RAM and processing power to load all that,
It's just Electrum seem to stop processing to generate the rest of the keys at some point.
