Yet again they have performed very poor today against Fulham in their domestic league which just shows that there is every possibility that Frankfurt can definitely beat them in the quarter finals matchup between them and Tottenham Hotspur. Although Frankfurt themselves isn't all that good when it comes to performance but they have better playing spirit when playing in the Europa league and it would be a hard game between the two.
If we are to compare the performances of both teams, I would choose Frankfurt over Tottenham because they are in better shape. Frankfurt can win games at home or away, while Tottenham only seems strong at home. Tottenham lost the first game against Az Alkmaar, but won the second leg at home, while Frankfurt defeated Ajax in both legs in the round of 16 with a lot of goals.
Tottenham Spurs, on the other hand, were unable to draw with Fulham. In my opinion, Postecoglou's goal this season is to win a trophy because he stated that he normally wins a trophy in his second season, and the Europa League is their only opportunity to raise a trophy this season. It would be interesting to see if Postecoglou can break Tottenham's record by winning a major trophy after a long time like Eddie Howe did for Newcastle this season.
