You just don't hope they are safe. You need to work around the clock by checking their social media pages if they have. Look into their communities and dig there to check if they've got real people and conversations there. Do a background check by looking at the team and who are those part of it. Start to search their names out of websites like linkedin if they're genuine people or just some guy used the name of a random guy and some random pictures of a gal.
