If you continue following such kind of act when you are experiencing losing streaks, chances that you'll see yourself losing a lot and like what you mentioned, it can lead into addiction and we must stop that kind of emotion. Either force yourself or find ways to use alternative venue to put yourself to other things instead of pushing yourself forward and keep losing more. That will allow us to find that discipline we need to avoid making huge mistake and lose lots of money.
In danger of me repeating myself: It's basic psychology, that losing streak doesn't cause addiction. It's not even a symptom of addiction. Losing more then you planned however can be a symptom of addiction. It's the winning that gets you hooked, because that's what causing those dopamine responses. Just like good in anything else you get addicted to.

No one wouldn't get addicted to feeling pain and losing money (unless you like pain and losing your money). In fact creating negative connotations can be part of convincing someone to leave a harmful cult. It's like in Pavlog's dog experiment, you can be self-conditioned to a negative stimulus.
