You may not consider the game as a big win for Manchester Unitd but for me it was a significant win, regardless of Leicester City strength. A win is a win, this victory could serve as a confidence booster for Manchester United. Hopefully they can build on this momentum to salvage their season. Luck may be on their side and they can go all the way to win the Europa League title to secure a champions league football next season.
A win is a win, atleast they were able to run away from the potential relegation jail stage back to 13th place but what next for them? They have won their last tow games Real Sociedad and Leicester City but these guys are average, Leicester is even worst because it seems every team has used them as party to get points and move up in the table. If Manchester United are that position well, they should try that in their next match against Nottingham.
Amorim need to make sure he wins the Europa, atleast that will be a redemption for the club because of this failures and inconsistency are not healthy for the club, this is their 4th season of not bringing anything the table, by next season will make it the 5th one. If I owned the club, I will be more concerned about the new players that will be coming to the club because ETH ways of players selection is very bad, bad taste in my opinion when there are many options.
In his first season Amorim task was only to keep Man United away from the threat of relegation, while other targets did not seem to be a top priority, considering the instability of the players they had and Amorim's level of trust in the available players was very minimal. I know Amorim has not been given full freedom in the transfer market and must do it next season. That is as long as the club meets the expectations regarding the funds that Amorim will receive. It seems we can't expect much from Man United and let Amorim maximize it next season.
