we can try and gamble responsibly and have a very strong self control but when it is the chemicals in our brain that does the work how much of the addiction can we prevent? can we train our brain to never get addicted or is it almost inevitable?
To prevent people from getting addicted to gambling, it should be possible to do with some restrictions that can be adjusted by the gambler himself. But for people who are already addicted, doing restrictions is certainly not enough, meaning there must be a procedure where gamblers will be forced to start getting used to always being within limits. The control that is carried out will not be easy for someone who is already addicted. But we should be able to accustom our brains not to play excessively. I think the problem is in our gambling habits and activity patterns that must be adjusted more.
The recommendations you give to people who are addicted to gambling may be difficult for them to implement because they have already lost a large amount of money and they need to recover that money. Rather than restricting them from gambling they should find ways to reduce their spending so that they are not tempted to gamble again. The brain of gamblers constantly creates a tendency to gamble to make money or to recover money.
And to limit it so the recommendations to adjust it and get out of the risk. They may not understand how to adjust their gambling habits and patterns of activity. The most effective way is to give them psychological care and choose the time to gamble and be careful with their family.
