Very terrible week it was for the Premier leaders, I thought after a poor and bad midweek for them in the Champions League they would come out stronger to win this for their fans as consolidation. But Newcastle has something else up their sleeves for Liverpool. I have always seen Newcastle as one unserious team but they proved me wrong yesterday by winning the EFL cup finals against a team they even hardly win on a normal day. Big congratulations to Newcastle I must say.
I have been rooting for Newcastle to win this but definitely knew it's likely impossible, saying it will take a miracle. And the fact that Liverpool lost during the week to PSG in the Champions League qualification match to quarter finals would have made me see them more as a threat because they would want to bounce back to winning ways through the Carabao cup but shocking Newcastle United was the better win and got a deserving win
Liverpool would likely get a consolation through the EPL title, the Carabao cup final is a dream come for every Newcastle United fan .
I was actually feeling same way, I was thinking that the fact that Liverpool is not longer in the champions league they would want to win the carabao cup and the premier league at least to go home with two trophy this season but it wasn't as i think or expected and Newcastle on the other hand wasn't a stick they are also humans who are/were planning better things for themselves and then they beat Liverpool and emerge victorious as the 2025 carabao cup winners and it is an achievement for them season.
