The history that cannot be denied is about PSG who have never won the Champions League until last season, although for this season I personally still can't be sure. And for the match between PSG and Aston Villa, almost everyone will favor PSG as the team that will advance to the next round, but that doesn't mean we should think that Aston Villa is weak because it could be that the team will prepare a clever strategy to be able to beat PSG in the quarter-finals this time.
PSG are not going to find their match against Aston Villa easy, it is going to be a very tough game for them and I don’t think they can just win the match easily without facing a hard time with the club. Aston Villa is just not any club this season, their dominance is one which you should fear as a team. There newest coach has really changed their game and that is amongst the reason they’ve come this far. Their squad was updated at the mid transfer windows and they became stronger than they were. PSG may have experience in the champions league but Aston Villa is a team they should not take lightly if they want to to qualify for the semifinals.
That is one mistake that could happen to PSG because many times they have been quite far in the Champions League and then lost the games because they fell apart mentally. Sometimes it was because they conceded a goal, still had the lead and yet lost it because they played as if they just conceded three goals instead of one goal. But they need this quality to deal with setbacks during a game and this is what they were now able to handle against Liverpool.
If they bring on the same level of concentration, Aston Villa should be the easier opponent, but PSG is well advised to only focus on themselves and their best performance without paying too much attention what Aston Villa has in mind and what their game plan might be looking like.
