My thoughts too, since they are not in any other competition and sadly the fact that they are not fighting for any European spot and again neither are they fighting from relegation, so I think they might want to put all of their energy in the Europa League, the way the played AZ Alkmaar and made a comeback after losing the first leg showed a little bit of seriousness from their angle. Nevertheless, I still don't trust that Tottenham of a team, they might just wake up and lose their two games in the Europa league, lol.
Tottenham and Manchester United are in a similar situation. Both teams are relatively weak in the Premier League. And both are now aiming to win the Europa League.
Tottenham won against AZ Alkmaar in the round of 16. After losing the first leg 1-0, Tottenham played well in the second leg and won the match 3-1. However, Tottenham will face a stronger opponent in the quarter-finals. Frankfurt is a strong team. And Frankfurt's players have the full ability to defeat Tottenham. So the match will be very enjoyable.
Oh I even forgot about Manchester United still being in the Europa league, lol. Maybe it was because my main focus was on Tottenham. Manchester United, I think hasn't lost a game yet in the Europa League if I'm not mistaken and so far they have being doing well. The way they played against Real Sociedad might actually prove that they might be ready for the Europa league, because they might to win it so that they can qualify for the competition again automatically next season since they are not going to qualify from the EPL directly.
