I watched the game between Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona and it wasn't a game both teams are ready to lose but it happened that Barcelona won. I thought it would end in a draw but when Atletico started doing their counter and defending Barcelona took it personal and it happened that they won ATM, they were too relaxed and they thought they could defend till the end of the game but Barcelona took advantage of the situation at hand, both teams did very well right from the beginning to the end but I don't think Atletico Madrid are the best in the world or in that encounter, so what is Diego Simone talking about, where on earth is he getting this idea from? Sometimes these coaches just say things that they know isn't true, is Atletico Madrid the best in the world even as they lost to Barcelona?
I just feels like he is trying to make his players feel better, because he knows that they are not.
Why would the best team in the world be winning two nil and later threw it away and eventually lost 2-4?
In my own opinion he is just trying to make themselves feels better, but deep down, he and his players knows that they should have done better, they knows that this particular loss was a major setback that they will be unable to recover from considering how competitive the league is right now, so in as much as he knows that they have messed up big time, he just don't want to criticize them openly, so that it wouldn't affect them the more, but I am very sure that they will feel his wrath behind the scene.
Finally, I believe that the Spanish laliga title race has been narrow down to two horse race, because atletico madrid is out of the fray in my own opinion, if Barcelona wins their outstanding game and open up a seven points lead to the atletico madrid team, their is no way they are coming back into the mix again considering how consistent both real madrid and Barcelona are.
