I was hoping Atalanta would win before the start of the game because they are playing a home game, thinking they will be able to end the game in a draw or even win against Inter Milan so that they will be able to maintain the point difference, but I don’t know why I even had that hope for them, as they just came to the pitch to play what they wish to; if not, just take a look at their performance, especially the second half; they were just playing anyhow, although Inter Milan has given them a big gap. If they are more consistent, then they will not have much threat anymore, both from Atalanta and Napoli, as they also drew their game against Venezia.
Inter Milan was just two strong for Atalanta, hece the win was well deserved. I actually had the expectations that Atalanta will be able to hold the match to at least a draw following their recent results and the determination I see in them. I never knew that Inter Milan will flog them mercilessly in their home. Now it feels like Inter Milan will win the league because Napoli blew their chances with the draw they had with Venezia, a match they ought to win since their opponent was not much of a big issue. It seems Napoli is strongest against big teams.
I want Inter to win the league as well, but my fear is that they are still in the champions league and Coppa Italia, so there are many matches for them to play and the chances of their important players to pick up injuries. I don't know if their squad depth can enable them be competitive in all these competitions. The coach should access is options very well and set his priorities right. The points between them and the other two teams behind is very small, and any little slip will be very costly. For me the coach should give more priority to the champions league and the league matches. They should exit the Coppa Italia before it will be too late for them.
