Arsenal is keen in selling some of its key players to fund Arteta for the summer window. I wonder who names will be included in the list of player to be sold. I'm predicting Gabriel Jesus and Jorginho potentially to be on the list.
What are you guys thinking about this? I think Arsenal has to get rid many of their players in order to bring some big target in summer. They have targeted Nico William, Zubimendi, etc. That's obvious they need a few hundreds of million to make it happen.
I would suggest that they sell Gabriel Jesus, Martinelli, Jorginho, and Zinchenko to be able to free up both funds and space for their impending summer transfer. These players have not performed consistently, and moving them on could generate funds and create space for fresh talent that aligns better with Mikel Arteta's tactical vision and add depth and quality to the team and also help improve their pattern of play.
When has Arsenal gone broke that they need to sell off players before they can generate funds to buy new players? If not for injury that spoilt Gabriel Jesus performance i don't think it will be wise to sell him because he will be useful to the club despite that his performance is not quite appealing. Martinelli is another player that still have the potentials to make a difference in the squad, Jorginho and Zinchenko can be sold but it doesn't mean that Arsenal will be dependent on selling players before getting funds to sign new ones. Mikel Arteta really needs more quality players especially in the midfield and the attacking positions but for the defense, they have made improvements there and that is why they have conceded the least goals. If they can sign at least two forwards and two midfielders, then they will be balance and achieve better results.
