PSG confidence has increased after beating Liverpool and their motivation to continue is very high but on the other hand we also cannot deny that Aston Villa also has the same determination. They are a team that was not predicted from the start to qualify this far in the Champions League. In terms of strength, of course PSG is superior but Aston Villa must also be preparing a surprise that we cannot predict.
Agreed, but it is quite complicated to draw preliminary conclusions. However I think PSG has proven big time how strong they can be. Check out the ways they had to pass to qualify for the next round.
PSG: toughest opponents in the first phase were Arsenal, Bayern, Atletico Madrid and Man City and then in the round of 16 Liverpool after being down 0-1 in their home game. The fact that they are in the quarterfinal now is unbelievable
Aston Villa: toughest opponents in the first phase were Bayern and Juventus Turin, that's it. Round of 16 was Brugge.
Yet this is the Champions League and Aston Villa is not without chances, but if I had to draw a conclusion right now, PSG is the winner at first glance.
PSG did manage to beat most of the hard teams they faced, which is going to be a great confidence booster for them and they could face any team and do fine. Aston Villa and Unai Emery are great opponents and PSG will of course have a hard time, but they did manage to beat Liverpool, the leader of the same league, eventual champion by the end I am sure. So if PSG plays properly then there shouldn't be any reason why they should fail to beat Villa as well.
To be fair, if PSG Plays with their 100% and not make mistakes and do not get some super unlucky shots like last years Dortmund game, there are maybe two teams in the world that could beat PSG right now, and that is a maybe. The issue is usually PSG not being 100% in some games.
