Based on my observations, PSG will regain the League One trophy because from their quality and the standard of others, they are the best team for now. The nineteen points difference will be difficult for any club in the French League to overturn. I am also hopeful that PSG will do well in this season's UCL league. We saw them beat the competition favourites. Not that they were lucky to win, but they were the better team in both legs. Aston Villa is an underdog that is doing well in the competition and has one of the most tactically sound and experienced coaches, Unai Emery. But in terms of quality players, PSG is a better side and Luis Enrique is not also doing badly as a manager m
The team I have expected to rival PSG this season has not won a single game against PSG, the supremacy of PSG continues this season and they aren't backing down as they keep having the kind of results that will continually place them ahead of other teams in the league and possibly the champions league. Marseille has been really awesome this season and they were my top pick to rival PSG in the ligue one this season but they are currently no where close, Aston vila in the Champions League isn't experienced enough as compared to PSG in the Champions League but it doesn't position them as an underdog they are better of as an average team than an underdog.
With a 26-game unbeaten run, PSG can be expected to lift the Ligue 1 trophy unbeaten, and become the only team in Europe top five leagues to do so. Marseille are still unable to compete with PSG, although they are currently in second place in the standings, the last meeting between the two teams tells us everything. So with all the other contestants, no one has been able to break PSG dominance.
In the Champions League, after seeing PSG eliminate Liverpool, they will most likely have no trouble beating Aston Villa. Luis Enrique is slowly starting to transform PSG into a more collective team, one that does not only rely on the main star. Maybe this season PSG will make it to the final, they just need to maintain their current best performance to face the challenges ahead.
