Arsenal is keen in selling some of its key players to fund Arteta for the summer window. I wonder who names will be included in the list of player to be sold. I'm predicting Gabriel Jesus and Jorginho potentially to be on the list.
What are you guys thinking about this? I think Arsenal has to get rid many of their players in order to bring some big target in summer. They have targeted Nico William, Zubimendi, etc. That's obvious they need a few hundreds of million to make it happen.
I think Arsenal have a number of players they can do without, players like Zinchenko, Tieney, Sterling, Tomiyasu, Kiwior e.t.c. are expected to depart the club at the end of the season giving way for new signings to join in the summer window. I think it is important that Mikel Arteta let some of these players go to raise funds and create space for new signings.
Sterling should be on the first list, he has ended his carrier playing in any prominent league, he is not worth any value to any European clubs if he joins, Saudi will be a better fit for him. At age 30 he is unable to keep up on the pitch, Arsenal has not derived any compensation from making signing for the player, a loss to their side, probably joining the Saudi can give him more boost in his football carrier while he earns hugely, only that no more titled trophy will be added to his cabinet.
Sterling was gotten on Loan from Chelsea. The term was that if Arsenal loves his performance by summer, they will buy him but with the way things is i don't think Arsenal will want Sterling. He will be returned to Chelsea not minding the fact that he loves to play at Arsenal.
For the players who might be on the list for Arsenal to sell to raise fund i am suspecting Trossard (He also said he might want to leave the club), Jorginho; One of Arsenals best defensive midfielder but he has aged a little so Arsenal will be willing to let him go. Another player is Tierney, Thomas Partey and Fabio Vierra who was sent on loan to another club.
However, the Arsenal board will be blame if Arsenal don't win a title next season. I expect that aside from selling players to raise fund the club owners should give Arsenal enough funds to get players who will help win trophy.
