That's the basic knowledge that comes with the use of everything as using it too much means you are absolutely abusing it and it's definitely gonna tell on you and same goes with gambling, eating, working, and every fucking thing we can think of.

Gambling is definitely gonna wrecked you if you take it too seriously and as a means of getting millions and the same way it can lead you to other type of addictive behaviors.

That's a pretty general observation, but not entirely wrong. The problem with gambling, though, is that unlike eating or working, activities that have necessary benefits, gambling is mathematically designed to make you lose in the long run. So while moderation may make sense in other settings, in gambling it only serves to delay the inevitable loss. The main scope of gambling is fun, not getting rich

You both are right, precautions are only taken by responsible gamblers to prevent them from becoming addicted and also to prevent losing so much. It's very possible that one can lose $20k in a day in they continue gambling with high stake. For example, if they stake $1k per  person bet, they only need to lose 10 times for all the money to go to the casino but if they are staking with small amount like $5 per bet, they will last more longer. So, precautions can be taken to reduce losses but not to determine chance of winning.
