If happened to you then it also can happen to someone who see this perspective as good resource to prevent adding more money to lose, taking vacation or short time to relax and chill will generate new ideas and if you take it as positive approach a chance that you'll be able to create something that will beneficial or also possible to quit your way when you see that it's no longer healthy for you.

Those are the things that can come up when you take some rest and take a break, it's useful as it is when talking about money and time that you are spending during your gambling sessions.

In the right sense that's the best thing to do, money doesn't grow on tree, it's earned from hard or smart work so you don't go wasting it all in the name of having fun or trying to entertain oneself, especially when it comes to gambling, something that deals with luck, at a point when your loosing streak is becoming too much the best approach is to pause for a while, take a break and restrategise, that's if you've not decided to quit entirely.

Just like you said and that's how it works, it would even help the person to generate new ideas of how to make sure that they don't suffer more loses in the near future, you'll try to figure out what you're not getting right and even learn from the previous mistakes, one thing about constant lose is that it comes with anger and if the gambler keeps betting with anger of losing they tend to lose more that's why taking a break is the best approach.
