Please discuss if you think this punishment is too harsh, or if it's appropriate, due to the gravity of the situation.


I thought previously the case against paqueta had been completed because the case occurred in the 2022/23 season and he was indicted last May by the FA, but when I saw him still to continue playing with Westham, I thought he was no longer guilty and free from any accusations, apart from the source you linked, in fact I see it seems that the paqueta problem is quite complicated by involving his family and also Betway which is Westham sponsor, so in my opinion if proven guilty of course he deserves to be severely punished especially previously there were several match fixing in the English league that were revealed by involving players and referees
