That loss to Barcelona must've been hard to swallow for Atletico and their fans.
Sorloth increasing the lead to 2-0 with only 20 minutes to go seemed like a guaranteed 3 points, but finally they ended up with no points and a 2-4 loss. Pretty devastating.
Atletico currently is 4 points behind Real and Barca which is not a huge gap, but Barcelona is playing an outstanding game against Osasuna this Thu, and if they win, the distance would be 7 points. That would mean that even if Atletico were to win all their remaining games (which is very unlikely) they would still have to hope for Barcelona to underperform.
Well that was 3 days ago..
Sorloth that put them on lead , also losed a goal that could have made the game draw somehow, probably 3 - 3 , he lost a clear chance 1 on 1 without any defender and was even a close one ..
Why did I say the game could have ended a draw? The goal sorloth lost could have prevented them from looking for a draw till the extent of conceeding another goal at 96' ..They are good in defending somehow and a early 3-2 could have ended up 3-3 or a win for A Athletico yet it is what it is, game doesn't work that way:)
