Liverpool has tried to retain Mo Salah but the player has not given any certainty and even Mo Salah seems to identify that he no longer wants to play for Liverpool and maybe Mo Salah wants to find a new challenge, that is a common thing that happens to every player, especially Mo Salah has been with Liverpool for quite a long time so I will not respond to this excessively, especially since Mo Salah is no longer young so it is indeed appropriate for Liverpool management to immediately find a replacement and not always rely on Mo Salah to contribute to the team.
This is totally wrong. Liverpool never tries to seriously keeping Salah to stay. They always refused to raise his wages just because he's old enough, and try to get rid him out of club soon. I have seen enough drama about this.
Salah has always insisted his club never ever tried to convince him to extend his contract, and he has to leave soon. If his club tried their best to convince him, he can agree to extend his contract easily.
I have seen it a few times how he has tried to signalled his club if he's willing to stay. Sadly, his club always refused it, and always stayed passive.
