Bitcoin's an expensive jewel leaders want to get or control. It's about power. When bitcoin's were traded p2p it was different but after countries made plans to make bitcoin reserves it's become something Satoshi wouldn't have liked. There isn't a guarantee bitcoin's going to get faster & better because if countries can't control it they'll ban it to reduce it's influence on ppl.
Precisely. That's the plan. Now you see the big picture. But most people don't because they're only focused on making money with Bitcoin. Who cares if it becomes centralized? As long as you're able to turn a profit holding Bitcoin, nothing else matters.
If this keeps up, BTC will be no different than traditional Fiat currencies backed by banks. Luckily for us, Bitcoin is open source. So it's easy to create a new fork with decentralization in mind. I'd say there's still hope for Bitcoin. "Nothing is set in stone", so anything's possible.
