Napoli lost yet another chance to close up the gap from Inter Milan in the title race in the weekend. Recording a goaless draw on Sunday against Venezia threw away the opportunity to go 63 points which has given Inter Milan 3 points advantage in the race while Bologna’s victory over Lazio moves them to 4th place ahead of Juventus in the race for champions league qualification.
It doesn't sound like much, but since Inter Milan is now stable again and unlikely to lose games, every point counts from now on. It is the same for any point Napoli lost in the past, but now the mind comes into the whole cluster and if Inter Milan doesn't get a period of weakness, Napoli knows that any point given away now can mean the loss of the Scudetto.
It is still interesting because there a couple of high priority games to come, but if the top teams don't do their homework and win the easier ones, the pressure for any of the most important games is a a multiple higher.
