I have to tell you from my own point of view that Nigeria Super Eagles has some of the best players in Africa than any other African country's team currently. Aside having the African best player as a Nigerian the predecessor was still a Nigerian and these are as a result of their contributions to their respective clubs they play for.

Personally what I think is that what Nigeria is lacking is a good coach who can actually utilizes the talents of these players in the Super Eagles team. They don't play so great as a team coming together but individually in their various clubs they have some of the best stats in the leagues they play. And I think anyone saying the Super Eagles has the best squad right now in Africa isn't making a wrong statement.
Nigeria Super Eagles' problem is multifaceted. Bad administrators also contributed to the downturn of the national team. We have the best players, but it has not been reflected in our recent performance because there has not been a sound management system that can hire the best coaches and harness quality players. Most Nigerians feel that the hiring of Eric Chelle is a blunder, but I have confidence that he would surprise us all.
Absolutely, I do agree with you about the multifaceted problems engulfing the Super Eagles thereby affecting their ability to fly high. One of such problems is about how the selection of players to make up the squad have been usually interfered by external personalities leaving the team with same drawbacks.

Though this time there were many changes with the introduction of Eric Chelle to the team and from all indications the Super Eagles are going to win their next two games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.  That being said, winning their two games doesn't mean an automatic qualification for the Super Eagles it would still depend on the results of other teams in their group that are currently at the top.
