Once curiosity kicks in then it would really be that so hard to stop and this is where usually people would really be that messing up themselves just because of wrong doing or decisions in life. Somehow there are some who do just simply test it out on 1 time then they do completely stop as long they have experienced then its just fine, but there were people that after they have experience then they do continue to deal up with it on which this isnt really that talking about gambling but also in other things as well. They will really be able to make out some realizations at the moment that they've been experiencing defeat and not on the time or moment that they are already have contented themselves specially out of their curiosity. Its not really that bad as long you do make yourself that responsible into the actions that you are taking.
Agree to that, if you held yourself responsible and you understand whatever the possible outcome of your action, there's chance that you'll be able to come out without losing a lot, though it's different if you don't have that self-control as the outcome may really hit you hard, especially if you are young your decision making might not be that fit.
Same with what you said not just with gambling but also applies to anything that you are not that familiar if you can handle your emotions then the outcome might not be good for your future.
