do you even have a say in how you are treated? As a commoner, the power is never in your hands to decide the fate of things. if by the decision of the elites, wars are what they dime fit as a way of getting what they want, there is little or nothing you can do about it. the amount you are to pay as tax and who you are to pay it to is not yours to decide, this is how much we have made the elites look so powerful. the average man does not always wish that there be war because when it eventually happens, they are always at the receiving end and suffers the most. even the military can't dictate when there should be a war or not but will only play to whatever tune the elites want it to be done.

in our world, the only way to stay protected to an extent from wars, slavery, and harsh government decisions is to ensure to have a certain level of influence and money so that if things get out of hand, you can work on relocating to a better place. if you don't have the means of moving out, you have no choice but to remain at the mercy of the elites who don't care what happens to the you.
