For me i think the reason why people dont talk much on how they spend their bitcoin is because because of economy crisis and inflation bitcoin is considered to invest as a storr of value which means it is more preferable to hodl bitcoin than to spend it the way. The value of bitcoin is increasing in a fast and it wont if people decide not to spend their bitcoin but to hodl it for the future. the idea for bitcoin was not only to be spent as money, but which people can also invest and make profit from it in the future.
There may also be other factors that lead Bitcoin to be more popular as an asset rather than its use to replace the traditional financial system. Such as exchanges that talk everywhere about Bitcoin investments and other crypto assets. So new people who are interested in Bitcoin are those who want to invest not in using Bitcoin.
As well as government regulations in some countries that prohibit the use of Bitcoin as a means of payment but allow Bitcoin to be owned as an asset. Because the price of Bitcoin which tends to increase gives people the idea to make Bitcoin an investment asset, not only to seek profit in the future but also to hedge the money they save.
