Frankfurt's being favoured the most isn't surprising. They have proven their capability over the years. But for Mainz? This is new for them. Teams like Leipzig and Dortmund are also helping others find these chances with their bad forms. Especially Dortmund of course.
About falling just as hard, Mainz haven't still fallen though.
This is what makes the situation more interesting but let's see...Mainz has a 3-point advantage over other clubs, I don’t know what’s going on with the additional indicators, but these 3 points alone are a weighty argument.
Mainz experienced a fall last year, instead of their usual place in the middle of the tournament table they ended up in 13th place. And there were seasons when they were about there, but last season they were very close to relegation if you look at the number of points.
Maybe once they get into the Champions League they will repeat Union’s path, who knows.
