Every price Bitcoin has ever been people wished they had held on to their Bitcoin and sell for that price and that picked my interest on this. I can remember vividly 4 years ago my friend was able to own Bitcoin which his father sent to him from Nigeria to Ukraine that was before he came back to Nigeria due to the war. He told me he keeps 30% of the Bitcoin and sell the rest for his upkeep. He sold his $2000 Bitcoin during December 2023 at 25k/1BTC after that year. Early 2025 Bitcoin started increasing, he cried because if he held he would have sold for 50k plus that's double of his initial money. When Bitcoin rose to 100k he also lamented because he didn't have any Bitcoin till now and he wished he never sold.
This got me thinking, is there others like him who kept wishing till now or might forever wished they had never sold their Bitcoin when they had handful of it? What is the solution to let go of the regrets?
I would like a response from everyone so that i can talk to my friend about it.
If you are an investor, you should always set an investment goal. We all know that the price of Bitcoin always fluctuates. No one can ever predict its future. Maybe you saw the price of Bitcoin at 80k this morning and it reached 85k at night. Or maybe its price has decreased by 5k from the morning price.
So in my opinion, you should set a goal for your investment. You should be happy with the price at which you sold it according to your needs. There is nothing to regret. Always remember that you can get half of what you get now later. So I would like to tell your friend to start investing again without blaming yourself or wasting time on regrets. Maybe his goal will make him successful.
