That news makes sense only if Messi come back to the Barcelona as their ambassador. If we're thinking him will actively play like what he used to be, it will never happen.

I guess some important points that must make him reluctant to go back to his former club is that big pay cut, and no guaranteed spot for an old player like him.

The news outlet is just getting even wild with non sense rumour like this.

An ambassador sounds better than saying he's going to be playing in Barcelona shirt as their player. The game in the Spanish La Liga has developed beyond what Lionel Messi can handle right now with his age he would instead be a setback to the progress of the team as he is with a big chance of giving less performance below was you-all be expecting and this could dent his well kept and decorated records with the club.. I am not buying into this story it's just one of many rumours out there when it comes to the transfers.
