Could happen because Benfica is also team that can show unexpected surprises but you are right that Sporting has started to show their improvement in the quality of their play to be better after previously experiencing decline by only being able to draw and suffer lost, now there is winning streak and it can be spur for them to be more confident in maintaining consistency until the end of the season.
Rui Borges will of course prepare his players and train them to have strong mentality again like when Sporting was still under Amorim, Rui Borges will have good start when this season managed to beat Benfica in the last meeting and could bring Sporting to win the title.
Yeah I’m recent weeks and so we have are a lot of improvement in this sporting team compared to when Ruben Amorim immediately left them. To some i extent I think their exit put of the champions league is a blessing in disguise because it made them more focused on the league, they now have enough rest and time to recover for the next league game. The team have really improved in a lot of area, how they attack, how they keep the ball and even how they now defend set pieces.
I still can’t say for sure which team is going to win the league but both team still have a 50/50 chance to win it. Benfica have a match in hand though even if they win they will still be behind on goal difference. There are still matches who could be difficult for both teams and we could still possibly see both teams drop points after the international break.
