So am asking the forum what do you think is the cause of the rise in gambling related activities in our society is it due to bad economic situation or simply addiction?

Let have your view please

I'm sure those elderly wants won't like to be there missed up with young ones who can even resort to abusing and insulting them at any slight provocation of stepping on them. A young person who loses his bet could be angered and could get on the nelves of the elderly which could result in a fight. So I'm sure not all the elderly can face that but those who have been pushed to the war by bad economy has no choice than to come search or look for what the family could feed with. As unrealistic this is but that is the reality that some elderly have lost all they can lay hand on and have taken to gambling. It is bad economy that has led to the rise of gambling especially in third world countries.

This is the more reason that gambling for fun is an illusion, you don't say that to elderly who are gambling, they need money to survive with their family and whether they get such from gambling is another debate
