Chelsea are still far from success and Premier League title but their performances in two latest seasons show improvements of brighter future. With Manchester United, they have a completely failed season and face with very gloomy future.

However, Chelsea is in a very good position this season. Chelsea is currently in 4th place in the points table. However, Chelsea's performance is not consistent. It is not yet certain whether Chelsea will be able to qualify for the Champions League.
I don't think Chelsea's squad is very strong. Compared to Arsenal and Liverpool, Chelsea will be far behind. I would say that this season, the Chelsea coach should take the necessary steps to strengthen Chelsea's defense. If the defense is strong, Chelsea's overall performance will be more stable.
Chelsea passed through the same ordeal that Manchester United is passing through now and they managed to survive and are in the fourth position in the league table. The only area I see real problem for Chelsea is the two teams behind them which are Manchester City and Newcastle. It is completely inconceivable to imagine that Manchester City will not qualify for Champions League next season so if Chelsea wants to succeed in the fourth position, they have to target Nottingham Forest. This is a simple analysis that should guide gamblers in the sense that Manchester City will begin to win more matches than usual because they know what is at stake.
